We are a system of 12 alters including our host Lo/Mimi, who vaguely knew that she was a system host for years but came to terms with the fact in 2022 and has been in talks with therapists since who are aware of our condition.DID (dissociative identity disorder) is a condition caused by trauma.Being a system is not fun and DID is not a condition that should be taken lightly, it has become a source of mockery on platforms such as TikTok due to people both being uninformed about DID/OSDD and people (typically children) faking it in order to roleplay as their favourite characters without being seen as cringe.
Respecting systems is not that difficult, even if you suspect someone is faking it does not give you a pass to tar all systems with the same brush.
hosts
Mimi (also known as Lo or Lorelei) is the system’s main host/core.
She/he
As a system, we try to keep her in front as much as humanly possible, only kicking her out of front when absolutely necessary.
John (also referred to as Atlas) is the system’s main cohost.
He/him
John is a fictive of Atlas from BioShock (2007)
Vera is the system’s other main cohost.
She/her
Vera is less talkative than the other hosts but is often around to keep things in check
